Innovating Future Healthcare Solutions
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Emory University’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Science. I’m passionate about leveraging interdisciplinary approaches to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and clinical practice, ultimately improving patient outcomes and treatment customization.
Current Research Focus:
As a postdoctoral researcher, I’m dedicated to improving healthcare AI equity, identifying and mitigating bias in healthcare AI systems, and advancing ethical AI development in medical applications. My work aims to ensure that artificial intelligence in healthcare benefits all patients equally and ethically.
PhD Research (Previous Work):
My doctoral research centered on innovating lung disease management. I focused on discovering potential phenotypes of lung diseases and patient subgroups by applying digital image processing and deep learning techniques to analyze large-scale CT image cohorts. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), I simulated airflow in diseased lungs to develop personalized treatment approaches. This work primarily targeted Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Humidifier Disinfectant-associated Lung Injuries (HDLI).
